Born from our reverence for our families’ storied histories on high western ranches and our synonymous rambles on two-lane highways, Wander West explores the modern depictions of Northern New Mexico and Colorado. The itinerary offers insight not only into the wildness and wonder we’ve lived in but to the light and landscape that inspires us at present. Abstractions of the American road trip - the stark landscape, distinct indigenous art and unique regional style of adobe architecture inspire a new direction. Roov’s simplified and refined representations of this region express a deep response to the high desert terrain.
