SHE’S A BEAUTIFUL WASTE
Before the world was flat, we conceptualized an interesting abstraction of our Wander West Edit. Intrigued by our reverence for the high desert terrain, two-lane highways, local indigenous culture and endless horizons, Blackcrows Skis asked us to help bring a ghost resort project to life in the American West. With a week of production time from pre to post, we knew in order to create a narrative focused on absence we needed the right place, people, powder and unlimited access. The Blackdoc only scratches the surface of what we found — take a look at our capture of a beautiful waste.
"I focus on vacant, barren, destitute, landscapes, such as a ghost towns, battle grounds, no man's lands, et cetera - in other words I focus on absence." - Inspiration from the Canan Tolon exhibition at the Istanbul Modern
